James Partridge OBE is Founder and Chief Executive of Changing Faces, the national charity supporting and representing people with disfigurements. His pioneering approach to the challenge of disfigurement has enabled thousands of people to develop their self-confidence and succeed in their everyday lives. The  charity’s ‘Face Equality’ campaign aims to transform society’s attitudes to disfigurement.

James sustained extensive burn injuries in a car fire when he was 18 years old.

    I think people who discriminate against people with disfigurement or disability want to cling on to the myth that anyone can have a perfect life, they can’t cope with the thought of illness, accidents and tragedy in general.
